Questions & answers
How private are online sessions?
Sessions are one-to-one over video (Google Meet or another reliable platform) and are never recorded. I join from a separate, closed space where no one can overhear; on your side, headphones and a room where you won’t be interrupted are usually enough. What you share stays between us.
Can I work with you if I’m seeing a psychiatrist or taking medication?
Yes. Coaching isn’t a substitute for psychiatric or medical care, and it can sit alongside it. I don’t advise on medication — that’s for your doctor or psychiatrist. With your consent, I can keep in mind what’s happening in your treatment. If it becomes clear that you need medical or psychiatric support, I’ll tell you directly.
I’ve never done anything like this. Where does it start?
With a first conversation — a chance to get a feel for how I work and to ask questions. You don’t need to prepare, or to have your reasons neatly put into words; we’ll work out where to begin together. Early sessions tend to be calm and more structured — we don’t dive into the hardest material first, but build a shared language and some steadiness.
What if we’re not a good fit?
It happens, and that’s fine — fit matters more than people expect. If the format or the connection doesn’t feel right, you can say so directly; I won’t take offence. And if I think another professional or a different kind of support would serve you better, I’ll tell you honestly and, where I can, point you in the right direction.
I live in a different time zone. Is that a problem?
Usually not. I work with people in different countries, and we find a time that genuinely works for both of us. Just let me know where you’re based when you get in touch.
How long does this kind of work take?
A more useful question than “how long does it take” is “what’s starting to change in my life.” With a specific focus, that can become noticeable within a few months; deeper work — with attachment and long-standing patterns — takes longer. We don’t commit to a fixed timeframe up front, and we check in from time to time on where we’re heading.
Is online as good as meeting in person?
For most people, yes. What matters more than the room is a stable connection and a place where you won’t be interrupted and can speak freely. Online may not suit you if you don’t have that kind of private space.
